The East College Street Project Accelrator will assist five to six early-stage businesses integrating with technology, marketing, and business-development assistance as they integrate into the larger East College Street Development, located in downtown Oberlin. Sustainable Community Associates, comprised of 26-year old Josh and his partners, is in the process of developing this innovative live/work building in downtown Oberlin. They have financed the facility through creative means including public and private funds, as well as new market tax credits. As a final piece of the project, Josh plans to fill the six ground floor units with entrepreneurs who can have an impact on the local economy and plans to use the Lab's funds to provide them with the necessary business assistance for early success. The East College Street Project Accelerator serves as a pilot project, which hopes to replicate in Cuyahoga County.
